Exact pixels

Every source pixel belongs to exactly one piece — no gaps or overlaps.

Odd sizes handled

Leftover pixels are shared fairly when dimensions do not divide evenly.

Live grid preview

See split lines and piece numbers before you export.

ZIP when ready

Download all pieces as a ZIP, or save files individually.

How it works

Upload, configure, preview, export

  1. Step 1

    Upload

    Upload one image to start.

  2. Step 2

    Choose split

Grid, rows, columns, equal parts, or custom guides.

  3. Step 3

    Preview

Confirm piece count and dimensions in the live preview.

  4. Step 4

Split, then download a ZIP or individual pieces.

Features

Built for precise splits

Grid split

Rows × columns with live piece count.

Horizontal & vertical

Slice into bands without building a full grid.

Equal parts

Natural layouts like 2×2, 3×3, and 3×4 — shown before export.

Custom guides

Drag or type split positions for unequal pieces.

Format control

Reuse converter-quality encoding for JPEG, PNG, WebP, and AVIF.

Progress & cancel

Track piece processing and cancel large jobs.

Grid

Split by rows and columns

Grid mode is the default. Choose rows and columns — for example 3×2 on a 3000×2000 image yields six 1000×1000 pieces when dimensions divide evenly.

Horizontal mode uses rows only (top / middle / bottom). Vertical mode uses columns only (left / center / right).

Equal parts

Equal image splitting

Equal-parts presets map to natural grids such as 2×2, 3×3, or 3×4. The generated grid is always shown before processing so nothing is chosen silently.

Custom

Custom image splitting

Add vertical and horizontal guides at exact pixel positions, drag them on the preview, or type coordinates. Unequal pieces are supported; guides cannot sit on edges or duplicate.

Pixels

How pixel division works

When a side does not divide evenly, remainder pixels are assigned to the first pieces on that axis (1001÷3 → 334, 334, 333). Combined pieces reconstruct the original with no missing or duplicated pixels.

Formats & limits

What you can send and get back

Piece limit

Up to 100 pieces per image to keep results reliable.

Questions

Before you upload

It divides one image into multiple smaller images using a grid, equal parts, or custom guides - without adding borders or collage spacing.

Use the 2×2 or 3×3 preset (or Instagram Grid 3×3). Preview the numbered pieces, then export.

Remainder pixels go to the first pieces on each axis. Example: 1001px ÷ 3 -> 334, 334, 333. Pieces still reconstruct the original without gaps.

Default is left to right, then top to bottom (1 2 3 / 4 5 6 / ...). Advanced options can reverse direction.

Yes. After splitting, Download All ZIP packs every piece. You can also download pieces one by one.

No. There are no gutters, borders, or layouts between pieces. Use Cropper if you need a single frame, or a future merger tool to combine images.
